Healthcare Reform Balls cover the Teabaggers

Posted by Mj Monk on 12:52:00 AM
The Huffington post has this list as things that people will see immediatly and benefit from As soon as health care passes.

The legislation will:
  • Prohibit pre-existing condition exclusions for children in all new plans;
  • Provide immediate access to insurance for uninsured Americans who are uninsured because of a pre-existing condition through a temporary high-risk pool;
  • Prohibit dropping people from coverage when they get sick in all individual plans;
  • Lower seniors prescription drug prices by beginning to close the donut hole;
  • Offer tax credits to small businesses to purchase coverage;
  • Eliminate lifetime limits and restrictive annual limits on benefits in all plans;
  • Require plans to cover an enrollee's dependent children until age 26;
  • Require new plans to cover preventive services and immunizations without cost-sharing;
  • Ensure consumers have access to an effective internal and external appeals process to appeal new insurance plan decisions;
  • Require premium rebates to enrollees from insurers with high administrative expenditures and require public disclosure of the percent of premiums applied to overhead costs.
By enacting these provisions right away, and others over time, we will be able to lower costs for everyone and give all Americans and small businesses more control over their health care choices.

What happens next?: Democrats hope to pass the Senate bill Sunday and the package of changes designed in part to make the overall legislation more acceptable to House Democrats. President Obama can sign the bill into law if it passes.

Lemme hear u say hey hey!

Crumble Lyrics

Oh snap my plan’s come undone
I’m free falling darlin’ and the rising sun
Is brushin’, on your cheek shining steady through the blinds
I thought I told myself that I would take my time
I’m sure I said I wasn’t ready
She said she wasn’t looking
It’s not my fault that she’s so good looking
But she is just my type
But I was ...
I plan to follow
But she says she’s emotionally unavailable
Whatever that means I’m down with that
She kicked the cat out kid so I didn’t talk back

Clouds are running through the sky
Shifting shapes and I know why
They say that that’s what happens when you’re busy making plans
Wind blows the same I start to understand
You and I were meant for each other
And we’ll always stick together when the world starts to crumble

Say Hey hey
Let me hear you say hey
You can fall on me (x2)

Two weeks past and I still didn’t call
But your name was in my brain like graffiti on the train
(undetermined) but I didn’t have your number
I saw you on the bus but you were chillin’ with some other guy
I was like damn, I was jealous
But you gave me a look
And you smiled just the same
And three hours later, my phone did ring
And it was you telling me would I like to chill
At this (undetermined) on the block that was real laid back
And I’m like, “yea it’s on”

Clouds are running through the sky
Shifting shapes and I know why
They say that that’s what happens when you’re busy making plans
Wind blows the same I start to understand
You and I were meant for each other
And we’ll always stick together when the world starts to crumble

Say Hey hey
Let me hear you say hey
You can fall on me (x2)

When no one knows what tomorrow will bring
But you can fall back on me when you can’t win
This world is moving faster tougher every day
Aw baby just take a deep breath and let your troubles all fade away

I showed up late that really Teed her off
We couldn’t agree on much but the vibes were strong
Basically I fell in love with those big green eyes
You can say what you want cuz I was mesmerized
Now three years later and it feels so fresh
We stick together, sunshine, stormy weather

Clouds are running through the sky
Shifting shapes and I know why
They say that that’s what happens when you’re busy making plans
Wind blows the same I start to understand
You and I were meant for each other
And we’ll always stick together when the world starts to crumble

Say Hey hey
Let me hear you say hey
You can fall on me

Hey BMW: Boba Fett & I want one!

Posted by Mj Monk on 10:41:00 PM

New state-of-the-art technology bike launched by BMW.

BMW has just peep the 2-wheel scene, with a new bicycle which is hella lite, fast and of course WAY slick thanks to the aluminum design. I dig it.

Should be out by June-ish in the BMW Shop. Enjoy !

The House boys (my favs): do J. Mayer

Posted by Mj Monk on 5:19:00 AM

These guys are good. It must hurt for your type 2 be THIS good.I love these guys and I'm surprised John Mayer used them for these posters.
I generally think of him as more commercial, but what do I know?
The type on them is so tight. Although I've rarely seen work from them, that isn't.

See Ya J.D.....

Posted by Mj Monk on 11:50:00 PM

 Here's to one of my favorite author's. You will be missed.

    ≈Catch ya on the otha side JD....

Salinger, who then turned his back on success and praise, became like the Gretta Garbo of letters, famous for not wanting to be famous, died on Wednesday at his home in N.H., where he had lived in seclusion for more than 50 years. He was 91.

•“You take somebody that cries their goddam eyes out over phoney stuff in the movies, and nine times out of ten they're mean bastards at heart.”

•“There is a marvelous peace in not publishing. It’s peaceful. Still. Publishing is a terrible invasion of my privacy. I love to write. But I write just for myself and my own pleasure.”

•“It was a very stupid thing to do, I'll admit, but I hardly didn't even know I was doing it.”

•“That's the whole trouble. You can't ever find a place that's nice and peaceful, because there isn't any. You may think there is, but once you get there, when you're not looking, somebody'll sneak up and write "Fuck you" right under your nose.”

•“Its really hard to be roommates with people if your suitcases are much better than theirs.”

•“How do you know your going to really do something, until you do it?”

•“I hope to hell that when I do die somebody has the sense to just dump me in the river or something. Anything except sticking me in a goddam cemetary. People coming and putting a bunch of flowers on your stomach on Sunday, and all that crap. Who wants flowers when you're dead? Nobody.”

•“The worst thing that being an artist could do to you would be that it would make you slightly unhappy constantly.”

•“An artist's only concern is to shoot for some kind of perfection, and on his own terms, not anyone else's".

•“I suspect that money is a far greater distraction for the artist than hunger.”

•“I am a kind of paranoiac in reverse. I suspect people of plotting to make me happy.”

•“I'm sick of just liking people. I wish to God I could meet somebody I could respect.”

•“I'm the most terrific liar you ever saw in your life.”

•“All morons hate it when you call them a moron.”

•“If a girl looks swell when she meets you, who gives a damn if she's late? Nobody.”

•“Game, my ass. Some game. If you get on the side where all the hot-shots are, then it's a game, all right - I'll admit that. But if you get on the other side, where there aren't any hot-shots, then what's a game about it? Nothing. No game."

•“I'm just going through a phase right now. Everybody goes through phases and all, don't they?”

•“Anyway, I keep picturing all these little kids playing some game in this big field of rye and all. Thousands of little kids, and nobody's around - nobody big, I mean - except me.

And I'm standing on the edge of some crazy cliff. What I have to do, I have to catch everybody if they start to go over the cliff -

I mean if they're running and they don't look where they're going I have to come out from somewhere and catch them. That's all I'd do all day. I'd just be the catcher in the rye and all.”

•“Among other things, you'll find that you're not the first person who was ever confused and frightened and even sickened by human behavior. You're by no means alone on that score, you'll be excited and stimulated to know. Many, many men have been just as troubled morally and spiritually as you are right now. Happily, some of them kept records of their troubles. You'll learn from them—if you want to. Just as some day, if you have something to offer, someone will learn something from you. It's a beautiful reciprocal arrangement. And it isn't education. It's history. It's poetry.”

 “I don't exactly know what I mean by that, but I mean it.”
